MS Word is a powerful word processor that you can use with many different templates.
When you create nothing, and a new document, Word's default settings using the Normal.dot template to create a 8.5 "by 11 to" page.
But let us say that you create a set of 6 "x9" documents and you want to create your new documents automatically with the measurements page.

1. Create a normal Word document (using the Normal.dot template by default).

7. Click the Browse button and drill down into the Windows folder where you have saved your newTemplate.
8. Select your new template. Click Next, follow the instructions and create your desktop shortcut.
When you click the link, MS Word to create a new document according to the dimensions that you specified in the new template.
If you can plan an creating 8.5 "from 11 to document" with the Normal.dot template, start Word as usual from their regular start-up connection.
