Some things are not as planned - Just Ask Murphy

Murphy's Law - There is a fine line between love and hate, "what have you thought in the world" there is an even greater distance between pride. To illustrate this, I recently I found Murphy must be somehow related. You know, the "Murphy" Murphy's Law?

As long as it seems, as always, I have the name of a particularly good anti-virus program is not used then. My subscription was about to expire, so it seemed a good opportunity to look around, comparison shopand look at other anti-virus programs that might be available.

In the end I decided on the "free" anti-virus software offered me by our ISP. After the change, however, I neglected to remember in order, the activity of the online backup system, I watch with. Unfortunately, about 10 days later I found out that was my online backup software is not secure!

And had not days, for at least three!

After a brief but comprehensive "fingernail chewing" Review of the anti-virus program and my online backup software, I closed my firewall in my (then) current anti-virus software at fault to. It was no longer compatible with my online backup system.

In fact, I uninstalled it because I was not the way it looked. Not "your operating system is in trouble if you keep using those" in a "fancy", "schmancy" look, but rather a look.

I installed another program, and am now going to be good. The new> Anti-virus security system is one of those, I believe that everything works just about - except the dishes!

Oh!

In the end, luckily, it turns out that the error message I received was from the online backup is a good thing. And would be even better if I have only seen the icon displayed before.

Running a computer is much more than turning it on and pressing buttons. Similar to making an airplane pilot or someone to parachute jump is aComputer users to regularly check that all applications, programs and similar systems are operational and ready to go. A "kick the tires," if you will.

At least put the anti-virus update and scan and run on a regular basis. Also, if you have Microsoft Windows, ensure that Windows is set to update automatically. Back up your documents and files regularly, and if you do an online service, such as "Mozy" or "Carbonite", or any of the other, regularly check to ensure that they work while you want them.
